LOVELY LADY

VEGETABLES RETURNING

Excited for the multiple daily farmer's markets to return, to eat fresh vegetables at each meal again, and to grab growing things with the dirt still on them.

Also excited about the new Fischer & Shelter spring look books, both featuring Another Feather jewelry.

IMOGENE & WILLIE x ANOTHER FEATHER THORN NECKLACE

This past fall I had the opportunity to collaborate on a piece with the much loved Nashville denim company Imogene + Willie. Together we worked on designs and traded ideas resulting in this golden Harvested Thorn Necklace, made from a cast Tennessee thorn. I made a limited collection of these necklaces by hand and they can be purchase on i + w's website or in their Nashville store front. RIVER PICNIC

A picnic by the river this past early fall. It has been raining here continuously for the past five days. At the moment this river by our home is at it's full capacity with rain water. Outside the sky stays the darkest grey as if it's always evening, the streets are full of water and the earth is so very wet. At first we embraced it, went out in it, even went for a long rainy day hike in the hills. But today the desire to venture out in the pouring wetness has been replaced with thoughts of sunnier times, and eating outdoors again.

REST & REFLECTION

The new year is here, it came quickly and quietly and now it rests. We too have used January to rest and reflect, to make plans and chase dreams in the coming year. December and January are two of my favorite months of the year, their pairing couldn't be anymore necessary. They go hand in hand as brothers. They are partners, one bustling and busy with cheer and joy, the other with quiet meditations, solitude, and new beginnings. Rest for the heart and quiet for the mind. The perfect compliments of time.

FILM FROM SUMMER

The entire autumn season has been a blur. I cannot believe we are on the heels of thanksgiving, and quickly following will be Christmas. I realized today I haven't even shared photos from the end of summer, let alone the season we are in. So before we enter into the constant chill and waiting for snow, here is some film from the last bit of sweet warm summer.
